Our boys come to us from some of the most unstable environments imaginable. Unfortunately, they often reflect the behaviors they've witnessed or develop new ones to cope with unmet needs. Despite the challenges, being a consistent presence in their lives and offering unwavering love through their struggles and triumphs, we can help mitigate the impact of their past traumas. Witnessing even small breakthroughs and knowing that I'm playing a part in their journey toward healing makes every moment worth it.

What do you hope to gain personally by working with our boys?

Working with the boys at Genesis isn't just about giving, it's also about receiving. Personally, I hope to gain invaluable skills and insights that will shape my future career as an educator. Each day presents new learning opportunities, teaching me patience, empathy, and resilience in ways I never imagined. These experiences will undoubtedly influence my approach to education and guide me in making a positive impact on the lives of future students.
