Dawn Riff

Dawn Riff

“It humbles me. It honors me to serve them…that I have a purpose. It fills me with joy to see children smile. It’s what I’m supposed to do.”

Dawn Riff has worked at The Genesis Project in many different capacities since 1991.  She started working as Direct Care then moved to Director Care Supervisor and Program Coordinator.  She joined our administration team as Administrative Assistant, Interim Executive Director and is currently the Director of Operations.  Dawn studied Criminal Justice and Sociology at The University of Oklahoma as well as The University of Central Oklahoma.

Dawn’s job is overseeing the overall efficacy of the business.  She ensures Genesis complies with requirements on every level of the DHS Level E contract, from onboarding new employees to our Level E and School Nutrition monthly billing.  She works with every level of the team to assure the highest quality of care of our children (from inspections to doctors’ appointments). A certified M.A.B. Direct Trainer: Dawn trains our team in the importance of verbal and nonverbal blending as well as managing ourselves first when working with youth. She communicates with DHS caseworkers, family members, CASA workers and physicians regarding the needs of our children. She also assists in fundraising and speaks to local groups and other organizations about Genesis.
